In recent years, Vancouver Firefighters have voluntarily donated over $180,000 per year from their paycheques to the VFC. In addition to all of the lifesaving work done while on duty, and the thousands of hours donated to charity yearly, Vancouver Firefighters voluntarily choose to donate these funds so that much needed charitable programs and initiatives can be implemented in the City of Vancouver.
These funds are used specifically for VFC Programs in the City of Vancouver, including the following:
